Graduates and Students

High Schools Programme

Through partnerships with several local secondary schools, the programme offers industrial exposure for pupils from the Kwale and Likoni communities. It provides an avenue for Forms 2 and 3 pupils to appreciate first-hand the workings of a large-scale mining operation, while learning a number of useful life skills.

Over an intensive one-month period, the students participate in small group training sessions in subjects like computing, first aid and firefighting, as well as experiencing a number of work situations through guided tours of the operations.

Awareness events are held in schools each September, out of which the schools themselves put forward candidates to participate in the programme, which runs through the month of November.

Since 2014 over 1,000 pupils from local high schools have participated in the programme.
